Pilot PC is a space designed to practice reformatting the body.
Through the persistent and resilient reminder of what dance can do for the body and the mind.
The practice of being human continues.
2021 is no joke, so we better go hard.

After the show, our bar is open and DJ Shahmaran and DYKEHAUS from Klauw Collective will be DJing till midnight.
About Connor Schumacher
Connor Schumacher is interested in everything dance was, everything dance has become, and everything dance can be in the future. Because somewhere in there is a key to revolutionary thought. So let’s get moving. Connor Schumacher is a dance artist and artistic leader of ARK, the foundation with which he organizes movement classes and raves and creates performances, with the goal to get people moving. Connor is convinced that the world would be a better place if we would dance every day.
Connor studied dance and composition at Purchase Conservatory of Dance in New York, after which he developed himself from 2012 onwards as an independent dance artist at Dansateliers in Rotterdam. There he made the performances THREESOME (2019) en Funny Soft Happy & The Opposite (2019). In 2019 he was awarded with the Prize of the Dutch Dance Festival. Pilot PC (2020) was the first production of his own foundation ARK.

At Pilot PC you will be on stage with Connor. You can dance, but also sit down and watch from the stand. The performance is English spoken.
To attend this performance you need to have a Covid certificate. Because of this, the 1.5 meter distance does not have to be kept inside the theater. A Covid certificate can be proof of vaccination, recovery of corona, or a negative test (from the last 24 hours).Upon entering the theater, we will ask you to show your corona certificate (QR code) through the CoronaCheck-app or by showing a print out version through CoronaCheck.nl. Don’t forget to bring your I.D. More information here.

Over Connor Schumacher
Connor Schumacher is geïnteresseerd in wat dans ooit was, wat dans is en wat dans zou kunnen zijn. Daarbinnen ziet hij ruimte voor een revolutionair idee. Dus laten we vooral bewegen. Hij is danskunstenaar en artistiek leider van Stichting ARK, waarmee hij raves, movement classes en voorstellingen produceert, met als doel om mensen in beweging te zetten. Het is zijn diepe overtuiging dat onze maatschappij beter af zou zijn wanneer we elke dag zouden dansen.
Connor studeerde dans en compositie aan het Purchase Conservatory of Dance in New York, waarna hij zich sinds 2012 als onafhankelijk danskunstenaar heeft ontwikkeld onder de vleugels van Dansateliers in Rotterdam. Hier maakte hij onder andere de voorstellingen THREESOME (2019) en Funny Soft Happy & The Opposite (2019). Connor nam als choreograaf deel aan verschillende Europese onderzoeksprojecten, waaronder Dancing Museums en Empowering Dance. In 2019 won hij de Prijs van de Nederlandse Dansdagen. Pilot PC (2020) was de eerste productie van zijn eigen Stichting ARK.

Kaarten voor zondag 7 november 20:00 koop je hier.Bij Pilot PC sta je als publiek bij Connor op het podium. Je kunt dansen, maar ook gewoon vanaf de tribune kijken.
Deze voorstelling is alleen te bezoeken met een Coronatoegangsbewijs. Daardoor hoeft er geen afstand gehouden te worden. Een toegangsbewijs kan een vaccinatiebewijs, herstelbewijs of testbewijs zijn. Wij vragen je bij binnenkomst jouw Coronatoegangsbewijs (QR-code) via de CoronaCheck-app te tonen of een print via CoronaCheck.nl. Vergeet niet je I.D. mee te nemen voor een check aan de deur.

About DJ Shahmaran & DYKEHAUSE
DJ Shahmaran is a resident as well as programmer at KLAUW Collective (@klauwcollective) based in Rotterdam. Using electronic music as a way to explore his queer, diaspora, rooted – as well as simultaneously uprooted – identity, his sets are eclectic, span a wide variety of genres and moods including fast and abrupt transitions, a lot of energy build-ups, and breaks with sexy vocals here and there.
