Queer Pornfilmnight w/ JorgeTheObscene

To celebrate diversity in porn, Compagnietheater, Club Church and Filmhuis Cavia present the Queer Pornfilmnight w/ JorgeTheObscene. On this night, we present a selection of gender-melting queer porn shorts in collaboration with the Porn Film Festival Berlin. Including a photo exhibition, performances by the House of Hopelezz and a Q&A with JorgeTheObscene (pictured above), director and performer of the film The Multiverse in a Mouthfuck.
Mainstream porn has proven to be problematic in many ways. Typically, studies on porn habits have focused on whether they make viewers more sexually violent, misogynistic, or increase sexual risk taking, but a recent survey of more than 1,000 people zeroed in on a different problem: body dysmorphia. Most porn actors/actresses present impossibly sculpted or trained bodies that lead to greater body-related stress and anxiety, body dissatisfaction, and eating disorders, as well as overall negative body analysis.
Queer Pornfilmnight arose from the desire to show more diversity and artistic creativity in porn to our queer community; alternative stories, methods or forms, a bigger variety of bodies, male, female and beyond. The program consists of 8 queer porn shorts from the Porn Film Festival Berlin. Prior to the film program there will be a photo exhibition in the lobby with pictures by Remon van den Kommer shot during parties at Club Church over the last years and performances by Xenia Perek and Belle Dommage from the House of Hopelezz.

Om diversiteit in porno te vieren organiseert het Compagnietheater samen met Club Church en Filmhuis Cavia de Queer Pornfilmnight w/ JorgeTheObscene. Op deze avond presenteren we een selectie van gender-melting queer porno shorts in samenwerking met het Porn Film Festival Berlijn. Voorafgaand aan de film zijn in de foyer een fototentoonstelling en optredens van House of Hopelezz. Na het filmprogramma in de grote zaal, zal er een nagesprek zijn met JorgeTheObscene (in foto boven), de regisseur en acteur uit de film The Multiverse in a Mouthfuck.
Mainstream porno heeft zich problematisch bewezen op veel manieren. Doorgaans hebben onderzoeken naar porno-kijkgedrag gefocust op of ze kijkers seksueel agressiever, vrouw- of femme onvriendelijker, of seksueel risicovoller maken. Een recent onderzoek onder meer dan 1000 mensen heeft een ander probleem onderzocht: body dysmorphia of een stoornis van de lichaamsbeleving. De meester pornoacteurs tonen bijna onmogelijk getrainde lichamen die leiden tot lichaamsgerelateerde stress and angst, ontevredenheid met het lichaam, eetstoornissen en een algemeen negatief lichaamsbeeld.
Queer Pornfilmnight is ontstaan uit de wens om meer diversiteit en artistieke creativiteit in porno aan onze gemeenschap te laten zien; alternatieve verhalen, methodes en vormen, meer soorten lichamen, man, vrouw of daar voorbij. Het filmprogramma bestaan uit 8 queer porno shorts van het Porn Film Festival Berlin. Voorafgaand aan de film zal er een fototentoonstelling in de foyer te zien zijn met foto’s van Remon van den Kommer die hij de afgelopen jaren geschoten heeft tijdens seksfeesten in Club Church en zullen er performances zijn van Xenia Perek en Belle Dommage van House of Hopelezz.
